Second Halloween, Bigger Dreams, Better Slimes

Halloween is just around the corner, and this year feels extra special. Why? Because last Halloween marked a turning point for Gooru Slime.

How It All Started

Our very first sale to someone outside our circle of friends and family happened during last year’s Halloween. A kind and credible woman in the UAE shared our slime in her Instagram Story. Without knowing it, she kickstarted our small business. That one story led to over ten sales in a single day, before that, we had none. We will never forget that moment, and we will always be grateful to her.

One Year Later: What Has Changed

Now, it is our second Halloween, and I can confidently say, I know what I am doing. Last year, I had only two Halloween slimes. This year, I am creating more. My goal is to cover every Halloween theme possible and satisfy every sensory craving our customers might have.

Our Creative Process

So, how do we go from an idea to a fully themed slime drop?

1. Start with the theme
Every collection begins with a central idea, whether it is seasonal, food-related, gaming-inspired, or tied to a holiday. For example, for Eid, I knew people loved the sheep element, so I made a slime featuring the cutest sheep ever. It was a hit.

2. Choose the right texture
Once I decide what each slime will feature, I carefully select a texture that brings the theme to life. Each slime must feel unique. For example, in our food drop, we created the Kiwi Slime using a clear lime base and added slushie beads. The texture felt fresh, juicy, and just right for a kiwi.

3. Add the special touch
This is where we ask ourselves, how can we make this slime even more exciting? Even with thousands of slime shops out there, we try to offer something that feels different.

That might be:

• A fun DIY clay piece like Waffle Party
• A quirky surprise like the egg in Chick Surprise
• A custom charm like Fashion Diva
• Or keeping it minimal and letting the texture shine, like our soft and sweet Cotton Candy Slime

4. Final details: scent and name
Once everything else is set, we choose a scent that fits the theme and a name that grabs your attention. The scent has to be available, of course, but it also has to elevate the whole experience.

What’s Next

We go through this creative process for every collection. And we are going through it right now for Halloween.

So here we go, round two, and I’m more ready than ever. I hope this year’s Halloween slimes bring even more joy, excitement, and maybe even a few surprises.
